Privacy policy

This section contains information about the way we deal with privacy.

Logging data

For system maintenance and system analysis we gather log information about each visit to 2xs.it. This log information is only used internally and contains - apart from the IP address - no personal information.

Storing cookies

Whenever a connection is made to www.2xs.it or 2xs.it, we send a cookie to the client browser. This cookie is a so-called session cookie and only contains a randomly generated ID, which we use for linking the right connection to the right data. Session cookies are valid for 15 minutes and are not re-read (but re-newed) if you visit us after that period of time.

For those not liking cookies: the website can be used without and - in fact - is, when cookies are switched off in the browser.

Storing visitor data

For general analysis purposes we do store IP addresses and user agent information (the type of web browser you use). Besides, we link IP addresses to short links being generated and clicked on. This information is only used for analysis and for reporting on a grouped, non-personal base.

Shortened links, e-mail addresses and other data

We may display URL's of specific types in reports, or make them available through our API. Sensitive information is never exchanged, sold or made publicly available. By sensitive, we mean e-mail addresses, links containing passwords, phone, sms and Skype numbers and links pointing to pay services (like Bitcoin).
